Mr. Audrey Johnson grew up in Punta Gorda, FL. Upon graduating from high school, he attended Edison Community College, earning an Associate of Arts degree in Business Administration. He then earned a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from the University of South Florida (USF).

After graduation from USF, he began a career in the U.S. Army, serving 25 years as a commissioned officer.  During his tenure in the army, Audrey served in several senior leadership positions as a Signal and Acquisition officer, a Network and Communications Engineer, and a Communications Program Manager. Also, during this time, Audrey was selected to attend graduate school at the University of Colorado, Boulder, where he obtained a Master of Science in Telecommunications Engineering and Management. After retiring from the army as a Lieutenant Colonel, Audrey transitioned to the federal government as a senior Government Service (GS-15) employee. As a GS employee, he worked with various agencies such as the Missile Defense Agency, the Department of Homeland Security, the Internal Revenue Service (IT Department), and the Department of Education. In these organizations, Audrey worked in several different executive-level positions and received excellent leadership, management, and executive-level certifications such as a government contracting officer, acquisition officer, network engineer, agile project manager, program manager, and program budgeting officer.   Audrey is a results-driven individual. Audrey’s accomplishments while serving in these various capacities are innumerable. Audrey is a lifelong educator who continuously and consistently seeks to further his education and the education of others. He is a certified mathematics teacher and has taught at several colleges and universities as an information technology and networking adjunct professional.  Audrey has over five years’ experience as an executive director, leader, and manager and of several 501(c)3 non-profit organizations.
